Day 654

Like many of my fellow academics, I finished a PhD in the middle of a recession. I spent much time teaching for low pay, no benefits, and no guarantee of work. Sometimes this is called a zero-hour contract. In academia it is called adjuncting. I began the job search that led me to Kuwait because I needed high pay and a way to retrain out of academia. I spoke with  BrazenBFF about this choice on 7 June 2016. Have a listen.

And learn to make the best yogurt salad with my sister and I.
